UC Plant Protection Quarterly An online quarterly publication published by the University of California Kearney Plant Protection Group and the Statewide IPM Program.
UC DAVIS

The Viticulture and Enology Manuscript Collection at UC Davis holds an extensive collection of materials pertaining to the growth and development of the wine industry. The papers of individual wine researchers, merchants, and historians, and the archives of wineries, trade associations, and governmental agencies are represented. Collections in this subject category focus on grape growing, wine making, marketing, and distributing wine and other fermented beverages.
UC Davis Bookstore- Viticulture and Enology section has a wide range of up-to-date viticulture and enology books to purchase.
UC Davis Department of Agricultual and Resource Economics, offers information on the costs and returns of wine, table and wine grapes grown in various California counties. The UC cost and return studies for crops, including grapes, can be downloaded in PDF format.
UC BERKELEY
The Regional Oral History Office (ROHO) at Bancroft Library on the UC Berkeley campus offers nearly two hundred transcripts of interviews with winemakers, chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, marketers, shop owners, educators, researchers, industry leaders, organizational officials, and writers that have helped spark the intellectual development of a Bay Area food and wine identity in the latter half of the twentieth century.
NATIONAL RESOURCES
The National Agricultural Library (NAL) Special Collections houses rare books, manuscript collections, nursery and seed trade catalogs, photographs, and posters from the 1500s to the present. Materials cover a variety of agricultural subjects including horticulture, entomology, poultry sciences, natural history, and are not limited to domestic publications. As part of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Special Collections at the National Agricultural Library is charged with arranging, describing, preserving and making available rare materials significant to the history of agriculture and the USDA.
The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) provides statistics for California grape acreage and the latest crush report, plus much more.
The National Plant Diagnostic Network was established in 2002 to protect against introduced plant pests and pathogens. Organized into five regions, it has training and outreach First Detector programs. eViticulture is a national online viticulture resource of science-based information. Created by the Grape Community of Practice (GCoP), this resource is directed toward commercial viticulturists who need solid, tested, science-based information to improve their skills in the vineyard. The Grape CoP is comprised of a nationwide group of professionals with expertise in grape production. It is an interactive forum of blogs, expert advise and more.
VENSource/Enology Access is designed to be a repository of current information and ongoing research in the world of winemaking. Emphasis is placed on commercial and small scale winemaking but all are welcome to learn the art and science of winemaking.This site has both public and registered domains.
